UPDATE:
Due to hazardous road conditions and decisions by some local public school systems not to transport students to non-public facilities because of safety, our school will be closed Thursday, January 29, and Friday, January 30, 2026. At this time, state regulations do not permit non-public schools to provide virtual instruction in place of an in-person school day.

Behavioral Support
All students at St. Elizabeth School (SES) are supported by our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (also known as PBIS) practices. PBIS is a research and evidence-based framework to improve student success at school. PBIS is a systems approach that includes a school-wide program that teaches a uniform set of behavioral expectations, the Eagle High 5s, to support pro-social interactions within our community. At SES, all staff teach these expectations which include Responsibility, Respect, Rethink, Achievement, and Encouragement. Students are reinforced for demonstrating these pro-social behaviors throughout the school day. All SES staff receive training in PBIS practices, including strategies to help prevent behaviors from escalating, as well as a continuum of behavioral support interventions.

When a student needs more than this schoolwide support, Behavior Support Specialists conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments to understand the specific factors leading to interfering behavior and design Behavior Intervention Plans to help teach new skills that the student will need to be successful at school and post-graduation. Behavior specialists are assigned to each student to monitor treatment effectiveness. Behavior Specialists and staff at St. Elizabeth School believe that meaningful behavior change stems from compassionate, individualized planning and collaboration between students and their Interdisciplinary teams.
